What equipment do I need to get a decent recording of an acoustic guitar?

I'm on a Mac I have no idea how to get my non-metallic guitar sounds terrible when you registered. Today, I'll pull a Dean Markley acoustic pickup directly into the audio input. Do I need a mixer? A kind of pedal? Do I have a micro acoustic amplifier? Thanks.

Do not know much about recording, however, with only magnetic noise pickup rosette terrible. To use the simple strategy plug-and-record on the floor will need a few hundred dollars. There are some ways you can do this: 1. Buy a simple handheld recorder. I use Zoom H4 recorder. This is a condenser microphone pretty cheap (compared to condenser mics final study) and will be good job. Moreover, as an added bonus, I did not need a computer to record, so you can put the mic anywhere, and when the idea hits you, you can whip the microphone and record. Just use an SD or SDHC card. 2. Buy a collection system for your guitar. Boca pills are what worse for a collection system, after all, are only about $ 40-50. If you do not want to change your guitar, you can buy LRBaggs M1. This, in my opinion, is a of the best acoustic guitar pickups rose. 3. If you're ready to install a pickup of your guitar thanks to changes (this will not affect the sound of the guitar unplugged) is to buy a collection of micro /. These are probably the best collection of all systems. Usually this is a pick-up undersaddle (piezoelectric or ribbon) and a small condenser microphone and a preamplifier. Artists like Andy McKee and Don Ross to use the K & K Trinity Western Mini, with a condenser microphone inside, 3 piezo pickups and a preamp out of the guitar, it takes about $ 400. A cheaper option is the dual-source system that LRBaggs includes an internal microphone condenser undersaddle sensor tape, and a preamp inside the guitar, with buttons for volume and sound mix in the hole. Installation is however a bit difficult, so if you are not familiar with the drilling or safe to do so, professional installation is an additional $ 100. This option is the best live, and probably the most expensive. In addition, micro systems / library amplify the real guitar tone (instead of the magnetic string vibration) not install these on a guitar for $ 200. There are guitars and microphone systems already built truck, as EBG808TE EBG808 Maton and artist. They run for about $ 2000. Preamps are good because you can limit the input signal (more serious, more treble, etc..) Unfortunately, I do not know which edition of mixers, pedals, but I hope it helps!
