Tips for buying a guitar?
* Body: Phoenix Tree (Solid Wood) * Neck: Maple Fingerboard: Rosewood * Construction: Bolt-on * Scale: 22 Frets * Collection: 3 Standard Single Coil (SSS) * Controls: 1 x volume, 2 x tone and 5 way switch * Weight: 3.5kg (approx) this guitar would be good? If not, can you please tell me what should I look? Im thinking of playing rock / metal.
From the description, it is impossible to say anything about the guitar, except it is designed as a normal startup. Stratocasters Fender guitars are very versatile and is perfect for rock / metal. The trick is that the output is one of the most imitated in the world. Some copies are good, some are terrible and simply look at a generic list of specifications, nothing is said about the feeling, quality, sound and playability of the instrument. If you have a known brand and model in mind, allowing other information to better assess the quality of the instrument. If this is not a known brand, you need to see and play to make a decision. Personally, I suggest that if you want a start style guitar, you must purchase the real thing. Fender has templates for all budgets and are of proven quality. The Fender Affinity Start is a good option at the entry level.
